I wanted something that would tuck neatly underneath to leave lots of room to move around, but that would visually take up a lot of space to hide as much of the ugly floor and walls and vent and everything..

Have you seen some of the amazing painted vinyl floors people have been doing?I’m tempted, I tell you.

Very tempted.. Go a little bit traditional.Even if your style leans towards more modern decor, putting in one or two really traditional “dining room”-y elements in your space will make it feel more like a. real.dining room and less like just a random purpose-less room.

This can be a tradionalish buffet or china cabinet, maybe some nice paneling on the walls like you see in a lot of dining rooms, or you can do something like we did with our plate rack. One of the things I’d really like to have in this room one day is some nice built in cabinetry to hold dishes, but since we can’t do that right now, a plate rack gives that “built-in storage” feel.

It was cheap and quick too!.

Define the space with an area rug. When you’re all done with printing it out, you can hole punch it and put it in a pretty binder like I did, if you’re so inclined.. Ready to help on a moment’s notice!.

All the tasks listed are things that I do daily and have committed to memory for now, but it’s nice to know that I have something to fall back on to help us get back on track if we get ourselves a little turned around during the busy Holiday/New Baby season this year..I have about 9 more tabs to fill with cute printables and lists now, so I’d better get to work!.

Hope this comes in handy for you too!Welcome to Day 1 of the All About the Details Kitchen Home Tours! If you’re new here at The Creek Line House, I’d love for you to follow along with me on.
